This book has been on my radar for a long time. I first discovered it through the author's website, where I read the first couple of chapters, and I was immediately drawn in. The premise was intriguing, the writing style engaging, and I couldn’t wait to see how the story unfolded. When I received an ARC (thank you to Wednesday Books!), I found myself hesitating to pick it up—I was so excited but also worried that the full novel wouldn’t live up to the promise of those first few chapters.
In the end, I would rate Our Infinite Fates somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. The book had so much potential, and while I enjoyed it, I couldn’t help but feel that it could have been more. There were moments where the world-building and explanations felt a little too thin, and I wanted more time to explore the deeper mechanics of Evelyn and Arden’s tangled fate. Some aspects of their history and the curse could have been fleshed out further, which would have made the emotional weight of their relationship even stronger.
That being said, the story itself is undeniably unique. The blend of romance, supernatural suspense, and the idea of reincarnation kept me hooked. I especially enjoyed how the narrative wove back and forth between timelines, allowing readers to piece together Evelyn and Arden’s story bit by bit. The mystery of why she keeps dying, and the constant tension of whether she can finally break the cycle, made for an engaging read. Plus, the stakes felt real—not just because of Evelyn’s survival, but also because of her little sister’s life depending on her.
While I wanted more depth in certain areas, Our Infinite Fates still delivered an entertaining and twisty tale with high emotional stakes. If you enjoy reincarnation stories with a mix of doomed love, mystery, and supernatural danger, it’s worth checking out!
