Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber - Review
Rating: ★★★★★
Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber is currently my favorite book, and it has truly enchanted me with its magic. I want to keep this review spoiler-free, but it’s worth noting that I gave all three books in this trilogy 5 stars. Each book is so compelling that I think about them every day. The world Garber has created is so captivating that I even had to order an art print of the Northern Empire because I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The writing in Once Upon a Broken Heart is nothing short of exquisite. Garber's prose paints a vivid picture of a world that feels like a living, breathing fairy tale. The characters are richly developed and brimming with depth, making every page a delight to read.
In my Goodreads review, I wrote, “Amazing! I loved this story so much. It’s super easy to get into, has amazing world-building and storytelling, and features two incredible main characters. I couldn’t imagine stopping the series after this great start.” And my enthusiasm was absolutely justified. I devoured the entire trilogy in quick succession, and the ending left me in tears.
The book’s blend of enchanting world-building, intricate storytelling, and memorable characters creates an experience that is both immersive and emotionally enticing. Garber’s ability to transport readers into a magical realm and keep them engrossed from start to finish is truly remarkable.
If you haven’t yet discovered this series, I highly recommend diving into Once Upon a Broken Heart. It’s a breathtaking start to a trilogy that I found impossible to put down and will surely stay with me for years to come.
