FairyLoot Review: YA Full Box, Adult & Romantasy Book-Only
FairyLoot has long been a favorite in the book subscription world, and recently I had the chance to try out three of their offerings: the May Adult Book-Only box, the YA Full Box, and the Romantasy Book-Only subscription. Each one brought its own vibe and value, and I’m breaking them down below so you can decide which one might be right for your bookshelf (and your budget). I paid for all these boxes with my own money and all opinions are my own. Prices and books are for May 2025.
YA Full Box — The Floating World by Axie Oh
This box costs $35.90 plus shipping. It is, in my opinion, a great deal. I love all the extras that come in this box, and the collectables, as well as the mix between decor and useful items, is amazing.

A character pin from The Floating World
A set of art overlays showcasing scenes and characters from the book

The book itself really stood out with the reversible dust jacket, stenciled edges, hardcover design, and an author letter.
This box was definitely worth it for readers who love extras and value the full unboxing experience.
Adult Book-Only — The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig
The price for this book is $28 plus shipping.
This was easily one of the most elegant editions I’ve received. The Knight and the Moth is stunning, complete with a reversible dust jacket, stenciled/sprayed edges, and a detailed hardcover design. It also included an author letter, which adds a personal feel.
While this option doesn’t come with items, the design quality speaks for itself and makes this version a collector’s piece. Fairyloot almost never misses with their book picks for this box either. Some future books are thought to be Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soul and Katabasis, both major releases. Definitely worth it for an adult fantasy reader or anyone who is looking for special editions of new releases.
Romantasy Book-Only — Broken Souls and Bones by LJ Andrews
Coming in at $29 plus shipping, if you’re craving romance and magic, this one is for you. FairyLoot’s Romantasy pick was Broken Souls and Bones, a beautifully produced edition with all the expected special touches: a reversible dust jacket, stenciled edges, hardcover detailing, author letter and hand signed. With a lot of book boxes stepping back on hand signed editions, the fact that they’re still sometimes included is always a special treat.
This box is perfect for any romantasy lover.
Final Thoughts
I’d genuinely recommend any of these FairyLoot options! Whether you’re a collector, a romantasy lover, or someone who enjoys the full unboxing experience. Every box I received felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully designed, and packed with value.
