Genre Breakdown

Ratings

The two books to receive 5 stars so far this year are Babel by R.F. Kuang, and Starside by Alex Aster.

Most-Read Authors

So far this year I have only read 2 authors more than once. The two authors are Meghan Quinn, and Hannah Bonam-Young. I have read 2 books from each of them.

Goals

Going into 2026 I had 4 reading goals I hoped to complete. Here is how I am doing so far:

  • 24/100 books (Putting me about 26 books behind schedule)

  • Complete 4 quarterly bookmark challenges (these are fun mini-challenges I create for myself, such as diversifying my reads or reading a book from 5 different celebrity book clubs). I have completed 0/4 so far.

  • Read all of Throne of Glass. I haven’t started this yet, so I may be a bit behind on this goal.

  • My last goal was to shorten my physical TBR. I started with 325 and have probably only added to it.

Even though I am behind on my goals, I enjoy reading and want to make the most out of it. I will try and catch up, but won’t be putting too much pressure on myself. It’s been a fun reading ride so far! What’s been your standout read so far this year?
